The Menagerie

The menagerie of the Carousel of Aloha will feature native Hawaiian animals, and introduced animals, which are important in the history of the Hawaiian Islands. It also will be decorated with the flora of our islands on the swags and icons.

Seahorse - Moʻolio — Hawaiʻi has at least two endemic seahorse species, but only the moʻolio of the Carousel of Aloha is big enough to ride!

Humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa — Our state fish the Humuhumunukunukuāpuaʻa. This cutie gained fame through the hapa-haole song, “Little Grass Shack.” Many people who know no other Hawaiian word have learned this one!
